Horsham Music Circle stores contact information as part of its operations. It sends regular emails to members and other contacts about its forthcoming concerts that are considered to be of legitimate interest. Members/contacts not on email receive 3 newsletters by post annually. The information we hold is restricted to name, postal and email address and phone number. 

Complying with relevant legislation we only use personal data in accordance with our objectives  to educate the public in the arts and sciences and in particular the art and science of music, by presentation of concerts and other activities.

We collect information on persons interested in concerts under direct opt-in - 1. Manually by sending requests by email and these emails will be recorded  2. Manually by signing forms for collecting emails and these forms will be stored 3. Manually and electronically via annual membership application forms  4. in addition we add to our contact list from time to time details of persons whom we have reason to believe will be interested in receiving information on concerts. We do this under ‘legitimate interests’ in promoting music in accordance with our objectives.

HMC does not disclose personal information to other persons or organisations and all electronic mailings are sent bcc. Emails contain an option to unsubscribe, in which case their data will be deleted from our Membership and mailing lists.
